Syracuse - Wawasee Trail Posted on March 23, 2011 by mbuhrtApril 25, 2011

“The K21 Health Foundation has been a supporter of the Syracuse-Wawasee Trails project since 2004.  The Syracuse-Wawasee Park Foundation has received three trail grants totaling $145,000 from this foundation.  The most recent grant, awarded in 2010, for $20,000, is a dollar for dollar matching grant and is to be used to construct a pedestrian bridge over McConnell Skinner Ditch.  When the segment is completed, this pedestrian route will extend from Wawasee High School east to the Wawasee Golf Course, a distance of 4.2 miles.

K21 Health Foundation, in its twelfth year and based in Warsaw, IN, is a private foundation that focuses on opportunities to improve health and wellness for the citizens of Kosciusko County. ”
