USI Consulting, an Indianapolis based engineering, surveying and design firm, was retained by the Trail Committee to design and secure permits for a pedestrian bridge across McConnell Skinner Ditch. With deeds and easements secured, assuring the trail’s routing along the southern boundary of Parker Hannifin’s parking area, the Committee was able to proceed with the design and permit process. The segment route will cross Sycamore Street and head east along Pickwick where the Trail Committee has secured an easement from the current owners of the former Arthur’s Fresh Market building. Construction is expected to begin in early spring, 2011.
